WhatsApp is the most popular and most used chatting app across the globe. With a plethora of features, the app has made the communication cheaper and easier than ever. But a feature that is desperately needed by WhatsApp users is the ability to maintain dual WhatsApp accounts or multiple accounts from a single device. Being stubborn, they do not understand our needs :-p
Well, creating two WhatsApp accounts could be pretty helpful to us. We can manage two things separately- friends and family for fun chats via one account and the professional work can be done from the other account. Recently I have shared how to record WhatsApp calls on Android.
Majority of the social media apps Instagram and Twitter have now got the option to maintain multiple accounts but WhatsApp still lacks it. Want to create dual accounts for WhatsApp? This post will walk you through some pretty easy methods to use Dual WhatsApp Accounts on your Android phones.
Create Dual WhatsApp Accounts on Android phones
Well, there’s no official feature with the WhatsApp application to manage dual accounts. However, we have got three great methods that will surely help you with this:
- By the pre-loaded dual apps feature
- Using a Cloning App
- Using a Modified Apk of WhatsApp
Let us have a look at these methods one by one :’)
Create Dual Apps by the pre-loaded feature
If you use a phone from Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Gionee, OnePlus, etc. then there’s a feature pre-loaded in your phone for creating dual apps. To access this feature, the method varies from brand to brand and device to device. In the majority of the devices, you can access the feature from the Settings of the phone.
Navigate to Settings from your phone and locate this option of “Dual Apps”. Once located, enable it. Now select the apps like WhatsApp that you wish to clone and wait for a couple of moments. Voila! You have successfully created a clone for the WhatsApp. Check also How to hide apps on Android.
Now register on WhatsApp with your secondary phone number. Once done, you will be able to use two WhatsApp accounts. In case your phone doesn’t support Dual Apps feature, follow the other methods.
Create Dual WhatsApp Accounts using a Cloning App
The Play Store has got tons of cloning apps for creating dual apps of WhatsApp, Facebook, etc. The two apps that we recommend you to use are:
Keeping in mind the performance and simplicity, the app is well-built for all the users. When we talk of running an app in a different environment, the major thing to look after is the performance. And with the Parallel Space, it’s quite fun. The app offers you the ability to clone almost all the apps that you wish to clone.
As soon as you have cloned the WhatsApp app, it will appear in the app drawer with a plus (+) sign indicating that it is the cloned version of WhatsApp. This cloned app has support for updates as well. When you update the official app, the cloned app gets automatically updated within a couple of moments. Also, you have the option to share an item with the cloned app from the “Share Menu”. Are you want to play ludo games?

2- App Cloner
App Cloner is another great app for using dual WhatsApp account on Android phones. But as compared to Parallel space, it is a bit choosy. You won’t be able to clone all the apps on App Cloner. However, cloning WhatsApp with the App Cloner is pretty simple.
Though the app is choosy, it is the most customizable cloning app available out there. The paid version of this app lets you tweak the icons by changing the color, shape and what not. Also, it has support for app locker. As most of the launcher now support tweaks for icons, it won’t be an issue for you.
App Cloner lets you use the cloned apps privately by protecting them with a password. Also, you can restrict an app from starting in the background and remove the cloned app separately from the recent apps list.

Create Dual WhatsApp Accounts using a Modified Apk
Around a couple of years back, some of the modified apps for WhatsApp went viral on the Internet. There are a lot of mods available out there. But the mods that I’d recommend you to use are GBWhatsApp and YoWhatsApp. These are the same WhatsApp packages with a plethora of complimentary tweaks and customizations.
As the package name of the mod apks is different from that of the official app, you can use it separately. Thus, you will two WhatsApp applications on the same smartphone simultaneously.
One of the most popular modified apps WhatsApp nowadays is GBWhatsApp. From the GB Mods team, this app has a plethora of features to revolutionize the way you use WhatsApp. With the option to apply, you will fall in love with this mod apk.
-> YO WhatsApp
YoWhatsApp is another great modified app for WhatsApp. It is full of customizations and tweaks. This app can be used simultaneously with the official app and other mod apks as well. Thus, if you install the official app, GBWhatsApp and YoWhatsApp then you can use three accounts from a single phone. Interesting, isn’t it? Send a Bulk of messages with SMS Bomber Apk.
As these modified apps are not available on Play Store, you need to install them separately. Here’s a step-by-step installation guide applicable on almost all the modified version of WhatsApp:
Download the apk file of the specific app you wish to install.
Go to downloads folder and tap on the apk file. A warning will be displayed on the screen for installing apps from “Unknown Sources”.
Tap on “Go to Settings” and it will redirect you to “Security Settings”.
Now from this menu, find the option to allow installation from unknown sources and enable it.
Once done, try installing the app once again. This time no warning will be displayed.
Tap on “Next” until you see the option for “Install”.
Now, wait for a couple of moments until the apk gets successfully installed on your Android phone.
Lastly, open the app and register with the number you want to use secondary WhatsApp with.
